What This Organization Does

The Arc of Lane County helps parents and caregivers who are raising a child with a disability. You can get family support, meet other families, learn new skills, and find help for your child. Programs also include preschool and learning programs for youth.

Families Connected / Familias y Conexión — No Eligibility Requirement
Families Connected is a parent-led program for families raising a child with a disability from birth to age 18. You can get one-on-one help from a trained parent who has raised a child with a disability. They can listen, answer questions, help you find services, and share what they have learned. Families can also join family events, learning groups, and other activities.

Community Connectors — Must Be DDS Services Eligible
Community Connectors gives one-on-one support to children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. Each person is matched with a trained support worker. Support can help with daily life skills, build independence, and help people take part in activities at home and in the community. Staff work with each person and family to find support that fits their needs and goals.

The CARES Center — No Eligibility Requirement
The CARES Center provides food, clothes, toiletries, and household items to people with disabilities, families raising a child with a disability, and others who need help.

Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00–6:00 p.m.
Delivery: Available for people who have a disability or transportation barriers.
