These Programs Support Your Child Through All the Transitions

Help your child prepare for kindergarten.

Kids in Transition to School (KITS) is a free program to get families and little ones get ready for the transition to school. They offer in person programs for children 4 - 6 and online programs for parents.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a program that sends books (including bilingual books) each month directly to your home until your child's 5th birthday, for free!

Many school districts across Lane County have Family Resource Centers that offer programs to support families. Raising A Reader and story-time groups help prepare your child for kindergarten. Many centers also have supplies like food, clothing, and diapers.
